No much to chat about

It's freezing and the fire is burning, the trees outside are bare and the grass is not green. Winter. We have learnt that our house is cold. The fire just doesn't cut it with such wide open space. Upstairs is freezing and the boys room still hasn't any curtains or pelmets. Despite the double glazing which I thought would make a big difference(the only difference was the BIG deficeit in the budget!!) our house is cold. So its beanies and ugg boots which is far cheaper than the cost of elecricity in NSW.

Our life is somewhat different at the moment. We are merely visiting our counrty estate at this given time. We are lucky enough to call this a holiday home whilst we temporarily shift between here and other parts. We have been living a rather fast paced and exciting life else where. This may involve a more permanant move or maybe not, who knows. One thing for sure our kids can't say they have ever lived a boring life.
Our children are quite resillient and easily adapt to change. We believe it has made them more interesting people with broad views on life. Right now we are able to give them a cultral change of sorts and experience new adventures and we are all loving it.

On a sad note we lost our Bowie(dog). There was a terrible weather pattern a few weeks ago and he dissapeared.

Allyson is off to the USA soon for 12 months of good ol' southern hospitality in the grit eatin', deep fried buffalo wing and sloppy joe eatin state of South Carolina. What a cultral shock that will be!! Although we have lived in the Deep South before in Augusta, Georgia she only remembers it as a kid. Being an adult there will be a whole new experience. Allyson is so excited. She will have 2 weeks in Kansas City before following the yellow brick road to Rock Hill South Carolina (said in an aussie southern drawllllll)

Recently we saw the fabulous Cat Stevens show Moonshadow. If you get the chance go and see it. Take your kids as they will adore it, brilliant show.

So it appears I did have something to chat about after all.
